A normal day in Baltimore is unlike a normal day anywhere else. On Loyola's campus, the area is always alive and bustling with students making their way to classes. On a nice day, the quad gets so crowded you can't even find a seat to sun yourself in.       The entire city of Baltimore seems to always be alive as well. Each small neighborhood is always lively throughout the entire day. I have a sister who lives in Federal Hill, and every time I visit her there, there's always a large group of people getting ready to go to a bar in the area. Usually, I do go at night. That's probably why I end up seeing such a great part scene.      Fells point is a different story. During the day, it is quaint with a quiet atmosphere. If you go on a Sunday, you will see restaurants lined up on the water with a family crowd sitting around. Usually, there will be a man sitting in a cart...

I've been in Baltimore for almost four years now. At this point, I know it like the back of my hand. It feels like a place that I can safely call home. I was familiar with Baltimore before I came to Maryland for school. My grandparents are from here originally, so I spent a few Christmas mornings in Baltimore. Despite all that, it took me living here to really get to know the city.      Loyola's campus is a sight to see itself. It's right in a sweet spot. If you walk one way off campus, you end up in a suburban  neighborhood. If you walk the other way, you end up in what feels like a city. The campus is a mix of old buildings and new construction. The area really feels defined by the chapel and the humanities building since they stick out the most on the quad.     The architecture of Loyola can only be described as beautiful and intricate. When I say intricate, I'm referring to the view of the business school f...

My person differs from me in many ways. Though we share a few similarities, like being from the same town and going to the same high school, There's so many different aspects of us as individuals that sets us apart. For example, the person I've talked about for the past two blogs has short blonde hair while I have longer brown hair that falls over my forehead.   Another big difference between us is our personalities. Sometimes I genuinely wonder how we became friends. He's loud as can be. He's also one of the most social people I've ever met. He constantly needs to be around other people or he finds himself bored and unfulfilled. I'm the complete opposite. I'm incredibly quiet and introverted.   I've been quiet and introverted ever since I was a little kid. It's not that I don't enjoy socializing with other people. I just find myself loving time by myself. I tend to keep myself busy with hobbies such as reading, cooking, and surfing. Most of my...

Hello again!!! Much has happened to me during my time here on campus in Baltimore. So far, everything about this semester is fantastic. However, that's not the main subject of my post today. The main point is my person, Andrew, who I discussed in my last post. I can promise one thing about him. He is still as bizarre as the last time I wrote about him. He somehow finds a way to turn anything mundane into a wild ride.    Speaking of things that are mundane, he usually starts his day off just as many others do, with breakfast at Boulder. This is because he's usually hungover, and Boulder is the place that makes the best food to remedy that situation. From there, he interacts with just about every person he can find. It's as if he has an insatiable itch that just can't be scratched when it comes to socializing. He just needs to talk to anyone he can find. This is how he gets his excitement in every morning. I notice this because I'm quite the opposite of him. Ever s...
